In the early 1950s the practice carried out work for the Scottish Industrial Estates Ltd and designed houses for the Burgh of Dumbarton.

Later partners included Frank Campbell from 1959 and Scott Noble and Eric Hardgreave from 1961. In 1983 Donald Gavin, Malcolm McLean and Ian Bassy were all taken into partnership.
