Bio Notes: Alexnader Halliday was born on 29 December 1925, the son of John Halliday, slate quarry general manager, and his wife Margaret Stewart Shaw. He studied for the degree of BSc Arch in Glasgow and wsa elected ARIBA in 1953 and ARIAS in September of that year, at which time his address was in Wishaw, Lanarkshire.

By 1979 he had a post with Boswell Mitchell & Johnston.

Halliday died on 25 September 2000 at the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow, survived by his wife, Margaret Howie Peacock, a retired head teacher and at least one son.
