Announced in December 2000 wih a deadline of 25 March 1901. Mackintosh and Macdonald failed to provide a complete set of drawings (three perspectives of the interior were required), and so could not be considered for the prize. In the event no first prize was awarded; the English architect M H Baillie Scott was given second prize; and third prize was split three ways. Koch published several of the sets of designs, including Mackintosh & Macdonald's, as lavish portfolios in 1902.
