Bio Notes: Angus Kennedy commenced practice as architect and civil engineer at 21 Renfield Street, Glasgow c.1858. His practice was primarily industrial.

Kennedy married Isabella Dewar. He latterly took his son James into partnership along with Andrew Myles, the practice title changing to Angus Kennedy, Son & Myles. No further information is known of James's early life but Myles had been born c.1841 in Glasgow, the son of Andrew Myles and his wife Helen Malcolm, who came from Stirlingshire.

Angus Kennedy died on 27 November 1870 the firm retaining its existing title until Myles departed to commence independent practice at 121 Wellington Street around the following year, whereafter James Kennedy continued the practice as Angus Kennedy & Son at 99 Bath Street.
