Notes: First church, as distinct from the dual purpose hall-church to be built after the war. Walls of stone, small bell-tower, Celtic cross in stone at apex of gable, and the Burning Bush carved under parapet cope of the vestibule. Interior is Norman with a strong Scottish charater is in the form of a cross with nave, transepts and apse. Pulpit font and lectern are those used in the church at the Empire Exhibition of 1938, the bapitsmal font being donated by the Queen Mother.
