Bio Notes: Denis Greenwood was company architect of Prices Tailors Ltd.

Greenwood was born on 22 January 1930. He graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First Class Honours degree in 1953. From August of that year until May the following year he was Staff Architect, Alexandre Ltd. National Service, which he served with the Royal Engineers, followed. From May to September 1956 he was Deputy Staff Architect with Prices Tailors Ltd and was promoted in the latter month to the post of Staff Architect. He held the title of Company Architect when he applied for Fellowship to the RIBA in 1966. He was elected FRIBA on 6 April of that year, proposed by J W Wilcox, Nadine Beddington and Clifford Barnett.

In May 1962 Greenwood undertook a tour of Europe in order to study shop design. In October 1964 he made a trip to the USA to visit the World Fair. By 1970 he was the Managing Director of Industrial Developments Consultants Ltd. He resigned his membership of the RIBA in 1987.

He died in Huddersfield in the Spring of 1994 (his death was registered in April).
