Bio Notes: Edward Hanlon was born on 11 August 1938, the son of James Hanlon, park labourer and his wife Annie Cairns. He was elected ARIBA in 1967. He joined the Wylie Shanks & Partners practice in 1969. He remained with Wyle Shanks until 1990.

He died in service of a heart attack at The King's Course, Gleneagles, Auchterarder on 5 April 1989. He was survived by his wife Christine Turner McEwan Muir.
