Bio Notes: Little is yet known of Wilson & McGill who worked in Motherwell in the 1930s. The Wilson was John Wilson junior, son of the architect John Wilson of Motherwell. He worked alongside his father in Motherwell as an architect for many years but emigrated to run a fruit in California in the 1920s. It is not clear if he returned to Motherwell or whether he remained a sleeping partner in the firm Wilson & McGill. McGill was William McGill who had trained with Steel & King in Wishaw. he opened business on his own account in Motherwell. In the 1930s he was in partnership as Wilson & McGill. John Wilson junior was probably a sleeping partner.
