Bio Notes: Little is known of Andrew William Belfrage other than that he was born in 1842, the son of William Belfrage, hosier and Ann Thomson Burnet. He was a civil engineer who worked in partnership with George Somervil Carfrae from at least the 1890s. He seems to have owned the estate of Colliston in Kinrosshire He was unmarried and died on 31 January 1915 at Earlsknowe, Elie, aged 72 years, leaving moveable estate of £3,054 with an eke of £531 12s 6d.
