A scheme is on foot for the La Scala, Union-street. The architect is Mr T Scott Sutherland. No detailed plans have yet been prepared and the scheme is at a very early stage.[Builder 1 February 1935 Page 240]

The main contract for the “Scala” in Union-street has been placed with Mr Alexander Masson, 171 Hardgate, Aberdeen. The building will seat about 2,800 persons and has been designed by Mr T Scott Sutherland. [Builder 27 September 1935 Page 554]
