Date Not Known
George L Walls & Partners was formed sometime after the mid-1950s and before 1964.

George Learmonth Harkess Walls was articled to Robert Lorimer from 1919 to 1925. He worked as assistant to Barbour & Bowie and with various other practices. He formed a partnership with Stewart Kaye in Edinburgh from 1936. The practice virtually closed during the Second World War when Kaye became assistant Director of Emergency Works in Scotland, but re-opened after the war. By that date Kaye was in indifferent health and apparently conscious of being out of fashion. Walls practised on his own from 1945 and by at least 1951, if not earlier, Kaye was in partnership with his son.

About 1952 George Walls went into independent practice initially with an as yet unidentified George Park Duncan and later took William Cruickshank Ritchie, Ronald James Davidson and Andrew Landles into partnership. They had all been admitted ARIBA in the mid-1950s. Before 1970 Walls had retired and the practice was being run by the three other partners as George L H Walls & Partners. By 1979 the only Davidson and Landles remained as partners, Ritchie presumably having died.

The practice was architect to the Edinburgh Savings Bank and in 1975 had designed ten branches
