John Archibald Campbell\'s last building - he died during its construction. The Imperial Union Club at 94 St Vincent Street was part of the project.

This building has been erected for the Northern Assurance Company and is of fireproof construction throughout. It is constructed of a steel framework, the floors being of reinforced concrete. The front to St Vincent Street is built of Portland stone, the first to be used in Glasgow. All the windows are fitted with steel casements. The company have retained for their own offices the centre portion of the building on the ground floor. A portion has been let to the Glasgow Imperial Union Club and access to the club is gained from the west entrance. The rest of the building is to be let as offices. The architects are Messrs John A Campbell and A D Hislop of St Vincent Street, Glasgow. [Building News 10 December 1909 p865]
