See separate entry for Braid Hills Hotel by William Hamilton Beattie - B of S misattributes the existing building to Beattie although this probably amounts to confusion between unexecuted plans by Beattie for another hotel, and the one that was actually built. The style of the existing hotel is entirely uncharacteristic of Beattie.
