Basic Site Details

Pitalpin House
Dundee
Scotland
Plans in Dundee City Council Archives Dept. comnfirm the work undertaken by Mills and Shepherd to Pitalpin House. The plans are dated April 1927 and comprise the remodelling of the rear range of the house to form a number of rooms at ground floor and a large sitting room at first floor level. A new access corridor to this sitting room at first floor level was also created and is supported across the rear of the existing range on a cast iron beam. Further to this the plans include drawings for the garden terrace and summer house to the east of the remodelled block.

As mentioned before the first floor sitting room is panelled in a style similar to the firms work at other sites; is any information held on contractors used by Mills and Shepherd which could suggest the firm responsible for this work?
