Richard George Gibson studied at the Architectural Association obtaining his diploma in architecture there. He was elected ARIBA in 1964. He was in practice in Lerwick, Shetland. Prior to 1972 he was Deputy County Architect of Zetland. He would appear to have gone into independent practice thereafterand practiced under his own name. He was sole principal.
