Bio Notes :
Henry Sproatt was born in Toronto in 1866. He entered into partnershp with the English architect James Andrew Pearson in 1890 and they joined Frank Darling as Darling, Sproatt & Pearson in 1893. Sproatt left in 1899 to enter into a new partnership with Ernest Rolph (born 1871), who had been a draughtsman to Darling. An unidentified Crystler appears to have joined the practice briefly in 1902-03, at which time the firm had a branch office in Winnipeg. Sproatt died in 1934, Rolph in 1958.
