1843
Archibald Elliot II was the son of Archibald Elliot He inherited his father's practice after the latter's death in 1823. He exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1817-20 showing drawings of works which his father had just completed. He then moved to London and practised in Osnaburgh Street in partnership with his brother Alexander. Several works in Scotland were undertaken by him. He also designed a monument in Reigate Church, Surrey. This was erected in memory of William Elliot, MP, who had died in 1818.

The house in Osnaburgh Street was sold by the 'executors of the late Mr Elliot architect and builder' in 1833. Presumably this referred to the older Archibald Elliot and the sons were selling the property at this time.
