The new church is in Brougham street, and is a handsome brick structure about 30ft. in height, 55 in length, and 36 in width. The roof is light-varnishled, and is strengthened by iron tie rods painted light blue, running athwart the building. The pews are comfortable and tasteful in design, and at tie ministers end of the church is a very handsome dais at a very convenient elevation. The church seats about 350 people, and the ventilation and lighting arrangements are satisfactory. The windows are Gothic and diamond paned, and the general aspect of the building must be a matter of congratulation, both to the ministers and members of the church. ... Bible Christian Church in erecting such a commodious and imposing building on Hotham Hill. . The new and handsome building was erected by Mr. John MacPherson builder under the supervision of the architect Mr. A. E. Duguid of Collins street and New market, and reflects great credit on these gentlemen.
