In reviewing the exhibits Building News commented: “ (194). The best design Mr. Goldie exhibits, is an 'Interior View of St. Pancras Church, Ipswich.' The same architect's 'New Church of St. Mungo, Greenock,' (195), shows on the accompanying plan a nave 94 feet by 32 feet, north aisle 100 feet by 13 feet, and south aisle 91 feet 6 inches by 13 feet. Both views would be improved by more correct drawing.” [Building News 10 May 1861 p393]
