Notes: The original Turin House was on a high site overlooking Rescobie Loch. This was superseded by Maclaren's building, which was situated on the shore of the loch. However, problems with damp and midges caused the occupier to have the Maclaren house taken down in the 1920s and rebuilt on the higher site of the original house. Some interior work was retained but most was replaced.
