Notes: The Church of Scotland's Home Board appointed William & Hubbard, who made the design. (Williamson was dead by then). The Presbytery refused to accept Hubbard and an amendment to the Board's proposal was carried nominating Deas as architect. The matter was resolved by Deas executing Hubbard's design.
