Notes: Esther Barbara Chalmers, niece of R.S. Lorimer, attended this school and her unpublished autobiography in the NLS (http://www.nls.uk/catalogues/online/cnmi/inventories/acc8695.pdf) mentions the house as having been "designed for [the Bessires] by our Uncle Robert" and gives it a name, Lacorudos which is a typo or misspelling of La Corudos (p. 5 of the addendum to ch. 3 of the tss; the page numbering is tricky in this doc!).

There is a photo of the house (# 155 in the "Inventory" at above link) in the NLS, but what really helps is this: p. 199 in this linked pdf: http://www.montmollin.ch/pub/Guillaume.pdf (the Bessires and the Guillaumes were related, as that document explains) which makes clear that the house was at Roquebrune Cap Martin rather than a more general "Mentone" as it appears in Esther Chalmers's tss.
