Notes: Plans had bee prepared to build Robin Cottage in 1877, but in 1880 (?) the Lancaster and Ulverston Railway Company built the Hazelwood Hydropathic Establishment on the site. Alterations were carried out in 1888 ( Grange-over-Sands Buildings Register - no architect given) and by 1891 facilities included a billiard-room and a dark room for the new hobby of photography. A cycle house was also built where machines were stored at a charge of 1/-per week, including free insurance against burglary and fire. During World War II it was requisitioned by the RAF as an officers training centre.
