Notes: David Walker attributes this to David MacGibbon (see chapter in 'Studies in Scottish Antiquity') but found no documentary evidence. The building is in the Scots Barnoial house style David MacGibbon created for the bank and he may have provided Thomson with a sketch plan and elevation, although Park would have gained sufficient experience at Brown & Wardrop's to design it himself.
