Notes: The Linlithgow new academy is now nearing completion and is expected to be ready for occupation in April next. The style of the building is Scottish Baronial simply treated, and the outstanding features are two circular towers at the principal entrances, afyer the style of the round towers at Holyrood and Falkland Palaces. The building will be furnished with large and airy classrooms, and provided with science lecture room, laboratory and cooking room, all fully equipped with the best appliances.
