Notes: Cost stated in Builder when building was proposed: 80,000, including site. [This needs to be checked in source as The Edinburgh Evening News and other sources state that the contracts for the building were let as 18,000. Insufficient funds were raised from shares sold by the company formed for the establishment of the hydropathic and it seems to have been wound up].

Stood in 13 acres of the Plewlands feus. Converted to Morningside College in 1882 at a cost of 3,500, opened 5 October 1883. Proved too large for the purpose and demolished after the College moved to Rockville on Napier Road in 1889. Nos 28-38 Morningside Grove now occupy the site.
