Notes: The memorial-stone of a new U P church was laid in Daisy-street, Govanhill, Glasgow, on Saturday. The church is Gothic in style, will be divided into area and galleries, seating in all 1,000 persons. At the rear will be class-rooms, vestry, session-house, and ladies' room. The cost will be 4,600; but the scheme provides for the ultimate addition of a lecture-hall to the group of buildings at a further cost of 1,200. [Building News 12 September 1879 p324]
