PREMISES, MARKET STREET, EDINBURGH - New premises for Mr Macpherson, of the Cockburn Hotel Edinburgh, are to be erected in Market Street. The building has been designed in the Baronial style. It is to be used in connection with the hotel to replace the premises in Cockburn Street which the city has acquired, the ground being necessary for the proposed extension of the Council Chambers. The new premises will be lighted by electricity and heated by hot water, as well as by open fires. The architect under whose direction the work will be carried out is Mr John G Adams.
