Bio Notes: William (known as Bill) Avison Jessop studied in Leeds and was awarded the diploma in town planning with distinction. He was also a qualified architect and was elected ARIBA in 1965. He worked for the SSHA from about 1967 to 1989, first in the planning group and later as principal architect, then chief architect and regional manager. He served as president of the Edinburgh Architectural Association.
