Bio Notes: Alexander Ogilvy was born about 1826 in Glenmuick, Aberdeenshire, the son of James Ogilvy, labourer, and his wife May. He practised in Aberdeenshire in the 1860s. He became the Marquis of Huntly's clerk of works in 1871. His wife was Isabella and they had one son, James, born 1861 in Glasgow.
