Bio Notes: Thomas S Hutcheon or Hutchon was born about 1805 or 1808 in Rathven, Banffshire. In 1861 he appears as a civil engineer and surveyor and is a lodger in Academy Street in Elgin. He was still a lodger in 1871 at this time in South Street, remaining with the Minty family as a lodger after they moved to High Street. He is still recorded as a land surveyor in 1881 when he was 76 years old.
