| Bio Notes: | Alexander Brown Murdoch was born in 1831 at Woodeside of Darkland, Lhanbryde. He trained with the surveyor and valuator George McWilliam from 1847 to 1856. He was destined to take over the practice of McWilliam but died from perforation of the bowels at Woodside Lhanbryde aged 27 on 25 October 1858. |
