Bio Notes: Abraham Roumieu was born in 1734, the son of John Roumieu of London, refiner, who were members of a Hugenot family. He was first articled in 1748 to Isaac Ware and then to Thomas Reynolds. He was admitted to the Carpenters' Company as a freeman in 1756. No building by Roumieu is known but he made designs for Gordon Castle for the 4th Duke of Gordon. The drawings are dated 1766-7.

A book inscribed 'Abraham Roumieu, architect 1756' was sold in the sale rooms in 1972.
