Bio Notes: Robert Morison seems to have started as a draughtsman in the office of Robert and James Adam from about 1793. In 1807 Joseph Bonomi described him as 'a clever architect' who had been in the Adam's office for fourteen years. In July 1791 he secured the post of assistant to Sir John Soane at a salary of £1000 per annum. He exhibited a design for a villa at the Royal Academy that same year. In 1794 he published the first part of 'Designs in Perspective for Villas in the Ancient Castle and Grecian Styles' which was dedicated to the Duchess of Gordon.

He practised in Edinburgh from 1807 until his death at Raeburn Place, Stockbridge, Edinburgh on 9 August 1825.
