Bio Notes: John Jeans was born about 1720 and practised as an architect and builder in Aberdeen. He seems to have designed and built a number of buildings in Aberdeen and Inverness-shire. It is possible that he is the John Jeans who married Jean Ross on 22 August 1743 in the parish of St Nicholas in Aberdeen. If so they had one child called Helen. He may have re-married in 1764 to Elizabeth Paterson.
