Bio Notes: Alexander Fraser was born about 1791. He practised as an architect, landscape-painter and drawing master from at least 1829 to 1835. He was one of the original members of the Aberdeen Artists' Society and exhibited paintings of an architectural character at its exhibition.

In 1839 he was a signatory in the move to oppose dissensions within the Established Church. He died in 1841 when his office equipment was sold.
