Bio Notes: William Doull was born in 1791, the younger son of Alexander Doull, a Scottish plumber and glazier who established himself in Greenwich.

The younger Doull was a pupil of Sir Robert Smirke. He entered the Royal Academy Schools in 1814 and the following year won the Silver Medal.

Doull did not design any buildings in Scotland as far as is yet known.

He died in 1847.
