Bio Notes: William James Nicholson had graduated MA in Architecture from the University of Edinburgh prior to studying for the diploma in architecture at Edinburgh College of Art. At some point during his career he also became a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He was elected ARIBA in 1961. He had moved to London by 1965 and to New York by 1970. He returned to England by 1979 to the post of Chief Planning Officer, Northampton Borough Council.
