Bio Notes: Andrew Forrest Steel studied for the diploma in architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1955 and ARIAS in 1959. He was resident in Edinburgh about this time. However he had moved to a post with the practice Booty Edwards & Rakan-Rakan in Brunei, North Borneo by 1960. He had returned to Edinburgh by 1965 but five years later was working in Barbados for the practice W H Watkins & Partners. In 1984 he was a partner in the practice Gillespie & Steel Associates. By 1994 he had returned to Scotland and was living in Haddington.
