Bio Notes:	Smith Design Associates were established in Glasgow in 1993 and are currently instructed on an extensive list of commercial developments for a variety of clients. Although a broad based Architectural Practice, they have particular expertise in food and non-food retail, distribution, office and industrial sectors, which form the major portion of our workload. They act for nationally based developers and operators throughout the UK and for a number of corporate clients including Brookhouse, Cala, Deanway, JJ Gallagher, Kilmartin Property Group, Macdonald Estates, PREM, St Modwen, Terrace Hill and Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC. In recent years they have completed several major developments including "The Glasshouse" Retail/Multi-Storey Car Park Development in Glasgow, Cuckoo Bridge Retail Park in Dumfries, East Dock Street Retail Park in Dundee, Gala Water Retail Park in Galashiels and numerous Morrisons supermarkets. They are currently progressing retail park developments in Ayr, Carlisle, Kilmarnock and Glenrothes, and a major new leisure development in East Kilbride. They have experienced year on year growth from a team of four to our current compliment of 30 staff spread over three offices. Growth has always been gradual, calculated and sustainable and we plan to continue growing in a similar fashion. In 2013 there are offices in Glasgow, Leatherhead and Dumfries.
