Bio Notes: Alastair Ross worked as a draughtsman in the office of Whyte & Barrie in Lanark from 1958. In the later 1960s he worked for Ian Burke Hugh Martin & Partners in Glasgow but left when the practice split. (' I worked in the practice until 1970 when after the break up of the partnership I left as the atmosphere was no longer good.'). he then moved to work for Shell Mex BP where he was initially employed as a draughtsman/designer but after three years took on the role of project manager and employed outside architects tio undertake work for the company.
