Bio Notes: Ian Copland Farquhar was born in Aberdeen on 9 May 1933, the son of William George Farquhar, motor bus driver, and his wife Jessie Ann Wilson Copland. He studied at the School of Architecture in Aberdeen and was elected ARIBA in 1961 and ARIAS in 1964. In 1965 he had a post with Leo Durnin & Partners in Aberdeen. By the early 1970s he had moved to Essex. In 1994 he was working in Abacus Architects (perhaps a partner?).
