Bio Notes: William Watson was born about 1866, the son of James Watson, house painter, and his wife Margaret Irvine. He worked as an architect in partnership with the civil engineer and valuer Peter Kerr in Johnstone, Renfrewshire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was married twice, first to May Miller Kerr (was she related to his business partner Peter Kerr?) and second to Margaret Graham McPherson Jack.

He died on 22 March 1953 when he is described as a retired architect. He was survived by his second wife.
