Bio Notes: Gordon Grant Benton studied at the School of Architecture in Aberdeen and was elected ARIBA in 1958. He worked abroad in Kenya, Iran, Pakistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei (working from about 1965 for James Ferrie & Partners), South Korea, Indonesia and UK. He was awarded the OBE before 1984 and received an honorary doctorate from Robert Gordons University in Design & Technology. He had set up practice in Singapore on his own account by 1984 as Gordon Benton & Associates.
