Bio Notes:	James Campbell Hutchison studied at Glasgow School of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1953. He moved to work in Ayrshire in the late 1950s and early 1960s. By 1965 he had returned to Glasgow where he remained until at least the late 1970s. In the 1960s he must have worked in the practice of D Harvey and A Scott as there are too many buildings in common in their joblists for this to be purely a coincidence. It is not yet clear when he set up business on his own account but probably in the 1970s. He worked with P Kerr who was a chartered surveyor. He undertook a wide variety of work which included 24 schools and school extensions for Strathclyde, Lothian and Tayside Regional Councils, six telephone exhanges and various alterations for the Bank of Scotland as well as the jobs listed below. He is no longer listed in the RIBA directory of 1984.
