Bio Notes: Norman John Morrow was born in 1945 in Glasgow and brought up in Barrhead. He attended Paisley Grammar School and undertook his architectural training at the Strathclyde School, followed by a diploma in Town Planning, obtained in 1972.

He spent most of his career in the public sector, rising to become Director of Property and Construction Services at Renfrewshire Council. He also tutored at the Glasgow School of Art and Strathclyde School.

A Fellow of the RIAS, he continued to work as a consultant to North Lanarkshire Council, North Ayrshire Council, South Tyneside Council and Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership after taking early retirement in 1998.

Morrow was a committed Christian, and served as church architect to Kilbarchan West Parish Church, where he was a member of the congregation. Generous of spirit and possessing a gift for encouraging and motivating others, he also undertook voluntary work for the Samaritans, although modesty prevented him from speaking of this.
