Bio Notes: Donald George Beaton was born in Leven, Fife, on 19 October 1926, the son of Alaister Beaton, engineer, and his wife Margaret Lister Anderson Burt. was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1953. He very probably studied architecture at Edinburgh College of Art. He was elected ARIBA and ARIAS in 1956. By 1960 he was working at the headquarters of the Public Works Department in Ibadan, Nigeria. By 1966 he had returned to Scott and was working with A D Haxton & Watson in Leven. His home address was still in Leven in 1970. He is not listed in 1979.
