Basic Biographical Details Name: | Alexander George MacDonald | Designation: | | Born: | 3 April 1919 | Died: | 9 May 1988 | Bio Notes: | Alexander George MacDonald was born on 3 April 1919, the son of Alexander William MacDonald, railway stationmaster, and his wife Margaret Elizabeth Allan Hendry. He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1949, ARIBA in 1954 and ARIAS in 1956. By 1957 he was working in the County Architect's Department in Sutherland. By 1970 he had moved the County Department in Caithness. He had retired by 1979. As yet none of his work has been identified other than some houses at Portgower in Sutherland.
He died on 9 May 1988 at Caithness General Hospital.
