Bio Notes: Sara Elizabeth McCosh was born on 22 January 1929, the daughter of Andrew Kirkwood McCosh, company director and his wife Elizabeth Marshall. She was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1950. She married Anthony Woodward Furse of Solomon's Court Farm, Chalford, Stroud, Gloucester on 13 June 1953 at Culter.

In the early 1950s she worked for the practice of Basil Spence & Partners.
