Bio Notes: Alexander 'Alex' John Dawson came from Broughty Ferry. He studied for the diploma in architecture at Dundee College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1956. He worked for Basil Spence's Edinburgh practice in the 1960s where he remained until at least 1970. He was elected ARIAS in 1964. By 1975 he was practising as Alex J Dawson from his house in Newbattle. He is thought to have retired to the Aberdeen area.
